Dr. Wendy Mateo
Short Bio:
A full-time faculty member of the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, College of Engineering, Central Luzon State University. She recently completed her PhD in Biological and Agricultural Engineering major in Bioenergy and Bioproducts Engineering from Washington State University. Her research focused on the development of a more environmentally friendly pathway to effectively convert biomass into jet fuels. Specifically, to develop carbon-based catalysts for catalytic pyrolysis of biomass and waste plastics for the production of bio-based fuels and chemicals. She has published several research articles, as first author and co-author, in high impact factor journals, including Bioresource Technology, Chemical Engineering Journal, Journal of Cleaner Production, Science of The Total Environment, Energy, and Energy Conversion and Management. Her research interests include biomass conversion, carbon-based catalyst, and crop process engineering.
