DES Objectives

  • To provide fundamental education and technical trainings to students in engineering programs and allied courses through modern educational methodologies, facilities, and instructional materials.
  • To generate innovative technologies and systems through multi-disciplinary researches in the field of meteorology, environmental and energy engineering.
  • To provide technical expertise in the field of meteorology, engineering and technology for the country, the region and beyond.

Bachelor of Science in Meteorology (BSMet)
Program Educational Objectives (PEO)

After five years, the graduates of the BSMet program shall:

  1. Meteorologist who is providing technical support in the national weather bureau (DOST-PAGASA).
  2. Occupying positions in public or private sectors involved in disaster risk reduction and management, weather broadcasting and business.
  3. Professionals holding responsible positions in HEIs involved in the academic, research, development, and extension programs; and
  4. Professionals pursuing advanced studies, participating in life-long learning processes, and keeping abreast to weather and climate trend for continuing personal and professional development.
