Melba Denson
Short Bio:
A full-time faculty member of the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, College of Engineering, Central Luzon State University. She is currently taking her doctoral degree in Biological and Agricultural Engineering at Washington State University, Pullman, WA, USA. Her research interests include biomass conversion and crop process engineering. She is currently working on research about Density Functional Theory applications in biomass pyrolysis. This study specifically aims to elucidate the mechanisms of cellulose fast pyrolysis and propose structures of oligomeric sugars formed during the dehydration reaction. Further, she has published several articles in both local and international journals.
